1. General
Specification
1.1 Hull
Hand lay-up method with woven rovings, isophtalic polyester and
NGA-gelcoat. The hull is insulated from the water line up. There is a
decorative blue stripe in gelcoat. The under water hull is painted
with two coats of epoxy primer and two coats of antifouling. Blue
double water line. Built-in longitudinal and athwardships stringers.
Lead keel bolted on with 17 stainless steel keelbolts. Rudder in GRP,
rudder shaft 80 mm stainless steel. Heavy cast bronze rudder fittings.
Rubbing strake with stainless steel strip situated below the blue
stripe. A stainless steel rubbing streak was fitted to both sides at
the factory to further protect the hull whilst manoeuvring.
1.2 Deck
White GRP-sandwich construction, 35 mm thick for strength and
insulation. Blue decorative stripe around the cockpit. Hull and deck
completely joined by overlapping GRP-laminate. Deck, coachroof,
handrails and seats are all solid Bangkok teak. 15 windows, 14 of them
opening, 5 skylights and 6 Dorade vents. The deck is provided with
scuppers which drain under the waterline thereby keeping the hull
clean.
1.3 Superstructure and deck fittings
Steamhead fitted with two anchor rollers. Pulpit and pushpit of open
type. Varnished teak seats complete with covers have been fitted to
the pushpit. In addition to which, there is a small teak seat at the
pulpit.
International navigation lights, anchor light. Double life lines on
seven pairs of stainless stanchions, total height 72 cm. Gates
amidships PS and SB side. Lifeline attachments point are fitted
forward and aft on both port and starboard decks (Lifelines not
included).
1,500 W electrical anchor windlass with motor situated under deck for
protection. Up and down foot operated controls are fitted on deck and
remote controls have been fitted at the steering pedestal. 80 metres
of chain have been fitted to the anchor. 8 person recently service
liferaft fitted on deck forward of the coachroof.
Mooring cleats 40 cm forward and aft. 30 cm amidships. The teak around
the mooring cleats has been protected with stainless steel to prevent
mooring lines cutting into the wood.
Variable Genoa track car, block and double footblocks from Lewmar.
Mainsheet 1:4, sheeted on a track with two electric Lewmar 48 CEST
either side. Genoa winches are Lewmar 66 ECST and are once again
electrical.
The coachroof hardtop windshield is made with toughened glass,
aluminium frames and a mid panel / window which opens when desired.
Chain plates, bathing ladder and other fittings are made from
stainless steel. Shower at bathing platform.
Raymarine 45 STV Satellite Television Receiver mounted on a stainless
steel mast on the rear starboard transom. This has been made integral
with the stainless steel starboard pushpit for rigidity and additional
safety. This mast also carries a spare Raymarine VHF aerial which is
wired back to the main VHF receiver at the chart table. This mast also
includes the GSM aerial for the mobile telephone and the Raymarine GPS
aerial.
1.4 Cockpit
Seats and floor covered with teak with blue cockpit cushions in
Alcantara 6408 Infanta Blue piped with 1452 Primary Yellow. The
cockpit is fitted with a canvas cover extending from the coachroof to
the back of the cockpit. The cover is supported on an aluminium frame.
A teak wood foot rest is fitted in the middle of the cockpit floor
grating in order to enable people to put their feet against it whilst
the boat is heeled. This fitting is approximately 2 inches high and
removable when in harbour.
The following Raymarine ST60 instruments have been fitted over the
companion way: Depth, Speed, Compass Repeater, Wind, Close Hauled Wind,
ST60 Multi.
In addition to which, there is an
additional VHF loudspeaker on the port side and an autopilot control
(ST6002) on the starboard side of the companion way.

In addition to which, a Raymarine
E120 Radar / chart plotter is fitted to the starboard side. This is
removable for storage below when the yacht is un-attended. Finally,
high quality Sea and Symphony stereo cockpit loudspeakers are fitted
either side of the Raymarine ST60 instruments.
A Navtec hydraulic panel which controls both the kicker and the
backstay) is fitted to the starboard side next to the steering
position.
Bow thruster controls are foot operated (one pedal to port and one to
starboard) enabling the skipper to maintain a hand on the wheel and a
hand on the throttle whilst manoeuvring in harbour. A bow thruster on
/ off switch has been added to the steering pedestal to prevent
accidental operation.
Wheel steering with hide covered wheel. Single lever engine control,
compass, engine instrument panel. All hydraulic sail controls (genoa
in/out, mainsail in/out and main outhaul in and out) are fitted to the
steering pedestal. Additionally, a ST 60 multi and autopilot control
(ST6002) are also fitted to the steering pedestal as follows:
A Raymarine ST230E VHF has been
fitted to the starboard side of the pedestal and is in easy reach from
both the steering pedestal and when on watch forward of the pedestal.
Anchor controls and fog horn controls have also been fitted to the
steering pedestal. The fog horn is Plastimo’s Aqua Signal and the horn
is fitted to the port spreader. An additional fog horn switch has been
fitted to the base of the mast.
A highly varnished folding teak table is also fitted to forward of the
pedestal together with a removable teak glass holder which can be used
whilst on passage. The cockpit is self draining. For safety, three 3
lifeline attachment points have been added in the cockpit. Two at the
top of the companion way and one at the helming position.
1.5 Lockers
Forward a drained locker for anchor chain and space also for fenders
and warps. There is a deck locker with space for two gas bottles
situated outside the cockpit on the starboard side. There are two
hatches aft for covering a huge lazarette locker. These have been
fitted with gas assisted struds to facilitate opening. In the cockpit
there is a large dry locker for cushions, bicycles etc.
1.6 Rig
Sloop rig, 2 spreaders from Seldén Mast AB, Sweden. Mast and boom made
from silver anodised aluminium alloy. Removable cutterstay and runners.
Stainless rigging screws with protection tubes in silver anodised
aluminium. Deck light. Spinnaker pole, topping lift, halyard and deck
equipment. Additional jib halyard. Removable bowsprit for flying
asymmetric gennaker. Flag lines. The mast is provided with special
cable conduits.
Halyard winches: one Lewmar 48 CST self tailing, one Lewmar 8 C for
spinnaker boom lift. Cleats. Deck stepped mast on a reinforced
bulkhead. Hydraulic in mast furling. There is also a slot in the mast
for hoisting a trysail. The boom is provided with a hydraulic outhaul
but also contains ‘classic’ reefing lines. As previously mentioned,
the kicker and backstay are both hydraulic. A Windex is fitted at the
top of the mast.
A tri-colour light was added to the mast head to offer redundancy in
the navigation lights together with a radar reflector Blipper-210.
The 4 Kw Raymarine radar is also fitted to the mast using Raymarine’s
own fitting bracket.
1.7 Sails
Mainsail and working jib from Elvström Sobstad, Denmark. Coded sail
bags.

Total 130.7 m²
The yacht is supplied with the original Elvström Sobstad sails and an
additional 130% Quantum UK Genoa which was added to the yacht in July
2004.
1.8 Accommodation
First class workmanship in selected mahogany, sanded and treated to a
silk smooth finish. The floor is of teak with holly inlays, varnished
and with carpet. White ceiling accentuated with fore and aft mahogany
inlays. Solid doors are fitted to all cupboards etc in lieu of
Hallberg Rassy’s louvred standard doors. All fabric is in Alcantara
6408 Infanta Blue piped with 1452 Primary Yellow while the carpet
fitted throughout is slate grey/blue. Curtain material is Ivory.
1.9 Galley
Seagoing galley with Glacier White Corian worktops fitted with fiddles.
Deep, double sinks. Two well insulated cold boxes, one with a cooling
unit with electrical compressor and one with electrical freezing
compressor. Both compressors are water cooled. Pressure water, hot and
cold. Drawers, separate locker for china and glass, plus stowage for
pots and pans etc.
• 2 off chest type Refrigerator / Freezers each fitted with 2
Frigomatic electric with water-cooled condensers.
• Gimballed 4 burner Marinspar cooker, model no. ENO 743-80 Le Chef 4
burner.
• Electrolux EMM 1260, 230 v microwave.
• Additional storage lockers fitted under galley floor for additional
provisions.
• Small Table Vacuum Cleaner.
1.10 Saloon and chart table
Headroom 2.04 m. L-sofa on the starboard side and two armchairs on
port side. Chart table with drawers. Space for nav. aids directly at
the chart table. Comfortable seat, lockers and hanging locker for oil
skins. Electrical panel with labelled trip switches at the side of the
chart table. All electrical controls can be centered in this area.
Saloon equipment includes:
• Sony HIFI – Stereo with 10 CD changer and two saloon loud speakers,
mounted between the two armchairs on port side of the boat. (In
addition to which there are two loud cockpit speakers.)
• 20” Shapr Aqueos flat screen televion fitted in diagonal cupboard of
the saloon next to the forward bulkhead on the starboard side.
Raymarine ST45 digital satellite receiver fitted. (Sky Digibox not
provided as part of sale)
• Bulkhead lights
• Dedicated cupboards specifically designed to hold a full range of
glassware (white and red wine glasses, champagne glasses, whisky
tumblers and aperitif glasses – all supplied with the yacht)
A special bookcase has been added behind the navigator’s seat in order
to enable all pilotage books and other manuals to be in easy reach of
the navigator. This area is also used to stored the computer’s printer
& scanner. Additionally, a special chart locker capable of holding in
excess of 100 admiralty charts has been added on top of the wardrobes
in the owner’s cabin. This frees up valuable space in the chart table
where only relevant charts for the passage are held. This chart locker
is on the port side when entering the master cabin and can hold
admiralty charts folded in two.
The chart table is once again equipped with Raymarine instruments as
follows:
• E120 Radar / Chart Plotter
• ST230E VHF and VHF loudspeaker
• ST60 Multi repeater.
Additionally, the chart table also includes the following electronics:
• Nokia 6210 hands free GSM Telephone Kit installed and connected at
chart table
• Mastervolt Power System Control Panel part number 07-04-00020.
• Two Mastervolt Masterlink BTM-I battery monitors have been fitted,
one for the 12V circuit and one for the 24V circuit (part number
07-04-03160):
• Analogue 12v & 24v voltmeters together with analogue water and fuel
tank gauges.
• Original Westeberke generator instrument panel. The instrument panel
includes preheat, start and stop switches, temperature gauge, oil
pressure and voltmeter for generator start. I
• Sony Laptop Docking Station for rapid connection to Sony Laptop
computer (laptop not included) The docking station is connected to the
Seatalk network enabling use of Raymarine’s Raytech RNS V6 Navigation
System and weather forecasting services (software also not included).
• HP Scanner Printer Photocopier
• Plastimo Gas Detector – two sensors (Part number 27092)
• Plastimo Digital Barometer (Part number 27090)
The output of the main 24V Mastervolt battery charger is controllable
using a specially fitted Mastervolt battery charger control dimmer
which is fitted to the main instrument. This enables the charge from
the 24v battery charger to be reduced thereby preventing tripping
shore power in instance where this is limited.
A safe has also been fitted in the chart table area to hold all
valuables and valuable documents.
The yacht contains a full set of English manuals for the fitted
equipment together with extensive operating and instruction manuals
from the yard.
1.11 Heads
Forward and aft: Head in white formica. Separate shower with curtain.
ITT electric toilet both forward and aft. Forward and aft stainless
steel holding tanks gravity drained to sea or capable of being deck
pumped. China wash basin with hot and cold water. Worktop and cupboard.
The floor is a formed GRP-showerstall drained in a tube through a
filter and then pumped overboard, without going to the bilge. Window
opens in the shower area. A large mirror and good lighting.
Additional equipment fitted to the master cabin heads include:
• Water Maker MT5500 230v with spares kit
• Washing Machine Kenny EU 255 230v
• Wall-mounted Hairdryer
1.12 Forward cabins
Two comfortable double cabins with access to the forward toilet
compartment and shower. Two skylights, opening windows, hanging
lockers and good lighting.
1.13 Aft cabin
A comfortable double berth on the starboard side and a large single on
the port side. Lockers and shelves under the side decks. Mirror.
Headroom 1.97 m. Four windows three of which are opening. One skylight.
Door to saloon, headroom in the walk-through 1.98 m.
1.14 Engine, Generator & Bow Thruster
Engine: Volvo Penta D3-110, 81 kW / 110 HP, 5 cylinder direct injected
turbocharged marine Diesel with intercooler. Hydraulic transmission.
The engine is fresh water cooled and equipped with oil cooler. Single
lever control for rpm and gear shift. The instrument panel includes
tachometer, temperature gauge, oil pressure and voltmeter for engine
start battery, acoustic and optic warnings. Shaft 45 mm stainless
steel. Volvo Penta rubber shaft seal. An additional 24v, 100 amp
alternator has been fitted to the Volvo Penta to improve the battery
charging capacity. A 12 V 50 A alternator has also been fitted as
standard to the Volvo Penta.
Generator: Westerbeke 6kW Diesel Generator fitted in soundgard housing.
Remote control panel fitted at chart table. The instrument panel
includes preheat, start and stop switches, temperature gauge, oil
pressure and voltmeter for generator start. An additional 24v 30 amp
alternator has been added to the generator to further improve battery
charging capacity.
Numerous original manufacturer spares are included for both the
generator and the main engine.
The yacht includes the following:
• Three bladed Gori propeller fitted to shaft – spare propeller
mounted in engine room
• Rope cutter – Ambassador – 3 bladed
• 10 Hp contra rotating bow thrusters
• Stainless steel rod steering.
The engine room is fitted with both fixed point lights as well as a
24V wandering light. An extract fan is also fitted in the engine room
to enable rapid cooling of the space. An integral fire extinguisher is
fitted in the engine room and operated from a switch underneath the
main companion way. This enables an engine room fire to be
extinguished without entering the engine room compartment.
1.15 Engine room
The engine compartment is accessible from both a door in the saloon,
starboard of the companionway and from a door in the walk-through. One
can walk into the engine room and around the engine. All pumps, heater,
water heater and filters are easily accessible and easy to clean.
Special care for good sound insulation. The foam insulation is covered
by metal plates. The engine room centralises services in one easily
accessible location.
• Fuel and fresh water tanks
• Fuel: 850 litres in stainless steel tank.
• Water: 1,020 litres, also in a tank of stainless steel situated
under the floor in the saloon.
Access ports are provided for easy inspection and cleaning of all
sections. Active coal filter. Pressure water hot and cold at all
faucets. The warm water is heated by the engine and also by the shore
connection and is stored in a well insulated 80 litres tank.
Specifically, the yacht is fitted with the following pumps:
• General service pump, sea and freshwater 50l/min. This pump is also
capable of operating as an emergency bilge pump should the need arise.
• Automatic electric bilge pump.
• Hand operated double action bilge pump.
• Domestic pumps and pressurisation system.
• Hot water tank with 230v immersion heater.
The autopilot is Raymarine with two linear drives adding safety and
handling capacity in heavy seas. They are controlled by using the
ST6002+ control units. The new intelligent auto learn function is
integral to the 6002 generation of the instrument. One ST6002 unit is
mounted on the steering pedestal and one with other instruments above
the companionway. See relevant section above for details.
1.16 Electricity
• Main batteries: 280 Ah, 24 V.
• Additional 12V domestic circuit added to cater for specific
equipment.
• Engine start battery: 140 Ah, 12 V.
• Additional 12V circuit battery fitted: 140 Ah, 12 V.
• Main domestic and lighting circuit is 24 V.
• There are 24 V and 230 V power outlets at suitable positions
throughout the yacht.
• Shore Connection 230v with cable, outlets and earth circuit breaker
. Shore power connection at mid ships on the starboard side of the
yacht.
There is a main isolation switch for engine start and lighting /
domestic batteries together with automatic fuses on all electrical
circuits. The low voltage control panel is fitted at the navigator’s
station while the 230v panel is fitted in an enclosed cupboard next to
the navigator’s book shelf.
The 230v outlets are all fitted with UK standard 13 amp sockets
finished in brushed stainless steel. All 230v sockets can be powered
from either shore power, generator power or inverter power giving
total 230v flexibility.
Upgraded 50 amp Mastervolt 24V battery charger (Part number
04-00-10800).
Additional 12V, 25 amp battery charger fitted for the 12V circuit.
Both battery chargers are controlled from the chart table.
Mastervolt 2500 watt inverter is fitted to the 24v circuit (Part
number 02-40-12000).
1.17 Heater
Two Webasto Airtop 32, Diesel air heaters recently serviced and
overhauled by main UK agent.
1.18 Hoses etc.
All drains from the self draining cockpit, sinks, washbasins, etc. are
of durable rubber or plastic material. Hoses for cold water are from
PVC and are glass fiber reinforced. Special rubber hoses for hot water
are used throughout. All through hull fittings are provided with
seacocks. All clips in stainless steel. Electrical and manual bilge
pumps.
1.19 Ventilation
15 windows, of which 14 open, five skylights, dorade and Electrolux
vents.
1.20 Upholstery etc.
Cushions in the sleeping cabins are fully sprung mattresses and the
saloon cushions are 13 cm (5") polyeterfoam covered with high class
furniture fabrics. Inside of the hull has mahogany lining.
1.21 Safety Equipment
The yacht is supplied with the 8 person liferaft, EBIRP,

The boat is CE certified for category A (unlimited ocean voyages) by
Germanischer Lloyd and the yacht is delivered with a CE certificate
and a CE plaquette.
2. Notes
The Navigation Radar System and Autopilot were upgraded Spring 2006 to
the latest Raymarine specification. The generator has minimal hours
and the water maker has never been used.
The yacht was conceived with long distance sailing in mind but the
owners plans have changed.
All possible security measures have been envisaged during its
construction and fitting out. For instance, all under water outlets
and sea-cocks have soft wood bungs taped to them. |
